Third annual Grand Canal cycle relay to take place for Bike Week

Offaly Sports Partnership’s third annual Grand Canal Greenway Cycle Relay along 65km of the Greenway from Edenderry to Shannonharbour as part of Bike Week 2025.

The event is taking place on May 10 from 9am to 5pm.

Join the cycle at one of the seven stops: George’s Bridge, Edenderry at 9am; Toberdaly Bridge, Rhode at 10am; Molesworth Bridge, Daingean at 11am; Digby Bridge, Cappincur, Tullamore at 12.15pm; The Thatch at Rahan at 1.30pm; Plunkett Bridge, Pollagh at 2.30pm; Armstrong (Gallen) Bridge, Ferbane at 3.45pm

Refreshments available at Digby Bridge, Cappincur, Tullamore; Plunkett Bridge, Pollagh; and Mc Intyres Pub, Shannonharbour.

Other events taking place in Offaly as part of Bike Week include a Bike Maintenance Workshop in Ferbane Heritage Centre Offaly on May 12, a Bike Maintenance workshop at Belmount GAA Club on May 12, and Cycle Day with Lynx Cycling Club at St Cynoc’s National School on May 16.
