Offaly school through to National Final of First Lego League Challenge

A team from Tullamore College is through to the National Final of First Lego League Challenge after competing in the Regional Finals last week.

The event took place on Wednesday, March 5, and Thursday March 6 in the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) in Athlone.

Using Lego blocks and their problem-solving abilities, 34 teams from ten counties took part in the competition.

The Tullamore College entrants also received the 'Core Values' award at the competition for their project, Nemo’s Crusaders.

Four teams are now going through to the national finals which take place on Saturday, April 12, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin Airport.

The First Lego League Ireland is supported by the Research Ireland Discover Programme and delivered by CreativeHUT Ireland. The programme also benefits from national sponsorship by Amazon.
