Hodson Bay Group among Best Workplaces in Ireland

Hodson Bay Group has been named as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces in 2025, ranking 12th overall in the Super Large Category and securing the top spot as the leading hospitality group in that category.

The hotel group, along with some of Ireland’s largest companies, was recognised at the 23rd annual Great Place to Work Awards ceremony in The Clayton Hotel Dublin. The recognition is based on independent feedback from employees, provided as part of an extensive and anonymous survey on their workplace experiences.

Great Place to Work also awarded Hodson Bay Group as one of the Best Workplaces for Women in 2025. This year it recognised companies from a wide range of sectors and sizes, and more than 2,000 female leaders were represented among those organisations.

Director of human resources, Alana Dunican, said: “We are thrilled to receive this special recognition – at Hodson Bay Group, we don’t just celebrate results; we champion women’s growth and success.”

Padraig Sugrue, CEO, added: “These achievements reflect the dedication by everyone in the group in creating an exceptional workplace environment where all team members can thrive and succeed.

“At the heart of our success is the belief that our people are the greatest asset in the success of Hodson Bay Group, and this recognition emphasises the commitment to supporting a culture of inclusivity, respect, and opportunity for all.”

Hodson Bay Group includes Hodson Bay Hotel on Lough Ree, Sheraton Athlone Hotel in Athlone, Galway Bay Hotel on the Wild Atlantic Way and the Hyatt Centric in The Liberties, Dublin.
