Two Offaly schools have earned their places in the VEX Robotics World Championships.
Students from both Colaiste Choilm and Sacred Heart School in Tullamore will be travelling to Texas in May of this year to compete in the competition.
In an All-Ireland competition, the Offaly students went up against 66 teams, with the young engineers showcasing exceptional talent, originality, and determination.
Both teams qualified in the top 5 spaces in their individual competitions and proceeded to take home the Design and Excellence award, respectively, earning their qualification for the VEX Robotics World Championships set to take place in the USA in May this year.
This achievement continues a tradition of excellence in robotics in Offaly.
Notably, Tubber National School represented Ireland at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championships in Dallas in 2023.
