Two students from Tullamore College qualify for All-Ireland Linguistics Olympiad Zone
Two Tullamore College students have secured their place in the prestigious All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad National Final after an impressive performance in the competition’s preliminary rounds.
Luna Sheridan (5th Year) and Daniel Scally (6th Year) ranked among the top 100 students nationwide, earning them a spot in the final round, which will take place in Dublin City University this March. They competed against 884 students from 85 schools across the country, showcasing exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills in linguistic challenges.
This is a fantastic achievement, and the school is ncredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. Linguistics club takes place for Juniors on Thursday and Seniors on Friday with Ms Mc Evoy. Tullamore College wishes Luna and Daniel the best of luck as they prepare to take on Ireland’s brightest minds in the final!
