Water supply returning to normal in Offaly
Uisce Éireann has said the majority of water supplies have returned in Offaly.
In a statement this afternoon, it said its staff have been working tirelessly to restore water supply to homes and businesses in Offaly following the recent impact of Storm Éowyn.
The majority of water supplies in Offaly have been restored, but some may experience low pressure or disruptions as the networks begin to recharge.
Uisce Éireann’s James Joyce urged people to continue to conserve water as the network recharges to protect the supply.
“We would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding following Storm Éowyn. Water has been restored to almost all our customers who were affected by the recent storm; however, it may take longer for those on higher ground or at the periphery of the network to have their supply fully restored.
"Our teams worked diligently and safely to restore the supply as quickly as possible. We would also like to express our thanks to the ESB and other agencies who helped ensure that all available resources were deployed to support the return of water supplies.
£We would ask the public to remain vigilant over the coming days and report any leaks they see in the public network so that our crews can carry out repairs. The public can report leaks or bursts to our Customer Care Team on 1800 278 278.”
Uisce Éireann’s care team is available to help 24/7 on 1800 278 278 and people can also it on X @IWCare with any queries.
