Catherine Bennett completes her 200th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun

Catherine Bennett, a regular of Mountlucas parkrun, recently completed her 200th parkrun.

She is so passionate about Mountlucas parkrun that all two hundred of her individual parkruns have been completed at Mountlucas parkrun. She completed her first parkrun in February 2018 and it has taken until almost 7 years to build up 200 parkruns - quite a significant milestone!

Speaking after the milestone event, Catherine said: "I really enjoy parkrun as it gets you up on a Saturday morning and it's a great start to the day. You always feel good after a run." Mountlucas parkrun and it's encoraging and supportive atmosphere has certainly proved to be an important part of life for Catherine.

She said: "Everyone is so encouraging and friendly at Parkrun and it's so enjoyable to do. It's lovely the way everyone stays around after the run for a few minutes and chat and then go off about their day. Regardless the weather everyone is in good form. It's a great start to the weekend."

Mountlucas parkrun is a free weekly, timed event targeted at both walkers and runners.
