Lough Boora Discovery Park closed due to dangerous conditions

Lough Boora Discovery Park remains closed to the public for the second consecutive day due to dangerous conditions in the area.

Snowfall and icy conditions in recent days has created hazardous conditions on roads surrounding the park.

The on-site cafe and bike rental are closed, as the park as a whole remains shut for health and safety reasons.

Taking to social media to warn locals of the dangerous conditions, Lough Boora staff wrote: "Please be advised road conditions are very bad also around the Boora area.

"If you do decide to ignore our advice and travel to Lough Boora, please let a family member or friend know when you are entering and leaving the parklands , however we strongly advise against this."
