The Republic of Ireland have the chance to reach Euro 2025 this evening with a win in their second leg play-off tie against Wales.

They are all square at 1-1 after the first leg as the winner will be heading to the finals in Switzerland next year.

Ireland finished bottom of Group A3 in the intial qualifying phase after just one win in a group with England, France and Sweden.

A total of seven teams out of the 14 from the second round will advance to Euro 2025. The playoffs include the likes of Belgium, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Sweden and Ukraine.

Republic of Ireland captain Katie McCabe hit out at Welsh players for the 'cheap shots' fired in her direction.

There were a number of flashpoints in Cardiff last Friday and McCabe's warned her opponents they will be ready for more.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, McCabe said: “I don’t mind going toe-to-toe with someone in a tackle but ones off the ball I’m like, ‘Come on….

“Look, whatever game they want to play, we’ll be prepared for it. We know what’s on the line and what’s at stake. We’ll be ready to leave it all out there.

“It’s showing the emotion and energy in the game. Both teams want to win the game. You know me, I don’t have a problem with a bit of argy-bargy on the pitch.

“Both passionate countries, both passionate teams. So I think you’re going to get a bit of that to be sure.”.

Before that, at 5pm, Northern Ireland are in Oslo for the second leg of their tie with Norway.

The visitors trail 4-0 after last week's first leg.

What time is it on and where can I watch it?

The match kicks off at 7:30pm with coverage starting on RTÉ Two at 7pm. The team news for tonight's game has not been released yet but it will be available closer to kick-off.
