'Miracle Mick' completes his 150th parkrun at Mountlucas

Congratulations to Mick Cronly who completed his 150th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun this week.

Mick has been a regular at Mountlucas parkrun since it began in 2017, but it hasn't always been an easy journey.

He is a very strong runner, with more than 11 marathons completed. Mick's health, wellbeing, and fitness has always been very important to him, particularly after suffering a brain haemorrhage in 2021.

Speaking after this milestone event, Mick outlined, "I feel great. It's great to be here after where I was in 2021.

"I was a very sick man. I suffered a brain haemorrhage and I was lucky to survive it. So the parkrun helped to bring me back to a good standard of health.

"I'm delighted to be out here to complete my 150th parkrun and be back out running."

Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5km event which is open to walkers, joggers and runners. It is held at a number of locations across the country including Mountlucas windfarm in Offaly.
