Offaly native dancer selected for Irish National Youth Ballet

Offaly native dancer Eva Sullivan will represent Offaly in the Irish National Youth Ballet’s 30th anniversary performances this December as they present The Nutcracker.

Despite it being her first year with INYB, Eva has been placed directly into the Senior section, a remarkable achievement that highlights her exceptional talent and experience.

Eva joins the Irish National Youth Ballet after several years with Youth Ballet West, a company that INYB also collaborates with regularly.

Lindsay Ashe-Browne, Artistic Director of INYB, praised Eva’s seamless transition into the company. “Eva’s background with Youth Ballet West has clearly prepared her well for the rigours of INYB.

"Our dancers undergo a competitive audition process, and Eva has truly earned her place among the best young dancers in Ireland.”

Funded by the Arts Council, INYB offers young dancers the opportunity to train with internationally acclaimed teachers and perform in semi-professional productions. Many former members have gone on to professional ballet careers, and this opportunity gives Eva a strong foundation for her future in dance.

The Offaly community is encouraged to support Eva as she takes the stage at the Samuel Beckett Theatre this December.

The Nutcracker will be the highlight of INYB’s 30th-anniversary celebrations, with performances running from Friday, December 6 to Sunday, December 8, including matinee and evening shows.
