New cashless parking solution now available in Tullamore

Offaly County Council is introducing a cashless parking solution for Tullamore, in partnership with Payzone, Ireland’s leading consumer payments network.

The new cashless parking service is designed to enhance the convenience of parking for residents and visitors alike in the most hassle-free way possible by providing a range of payment options.

Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council Cllr Tony McCormack outlined: “This service is set to improve the overall parking experience for the public in Offaly while also working to promote sustainable urban mobility. The solution has been launched in Tullamore, with plans to expand to more towns soon.”

How to use Payzone’s parking solution:

Motorists visiting Tullamore now have a choice of payment options and flexibility to use with or without a registered account.

Mobile app: The easiest way to pay. Download the Payzone app on Android or iOS.

Online: Pay directly on payzoneparking.ie using your debit or credit card.

In-store: Conveniently pay at any local Payzone retail outlet.

Cllr Frank Moran, Cathaoirleach of Tullamore Municipal District commented: “This new service is very convenient for motorists – using the PayZone app, it will be easier to find and pay for parking and help to deliver greater efficiencies for the Council.”

Payzone operates across multiple counties in Ireland, making it incredibly convenient for visitors traveling from other parts of the country. With the same mobile app, they can effortlessly pay for on-street public parking no matter where they are.

The council pointed out that the new cashless parking system is an eco-friendly initiative – it reduces the need for paper tickets and associated printing.

The new cashless parking service is now available in all council-operated parking spaces in Tullamore. Parking payments can still be made with cash using the on-street parking meters.
