Offaly County Council seeks feedback from public for future plans

The Offaly public will have the opportunity all this week to advise the county council on what their priorities for the next five years should be.

The council is now preparing their new Corporate Plan for the years 2025-2029, and is seeking input from people living in the county.

Offaly County Council Chief Executive Ann Marie Delaney says the survey is an important platform for locals to share their views on the future for the county.

“Offaly County Council is currently drafting its five-year corporate strategy, coinciding with the term of office of the newly elected members.

“Our corporate plan sets out a vision for how we will shape the future of Offaly, and must be agreed to by the elected members by the end of this year.

“We want your ideas and opinions as to how we can create a vibrant and sustainable county.

“In doing that we're looking at overarching goals such as growing our economy, protecting our environment, supporting our communities and developing our organisation.”

The short survey asks questions such as naming three opportunities for Offaly and three issues facing the county.

It is available on the council's website here, or via their social media and at libraries across the county until 9pm on Sunday, October 13.
