Award-winning photographer, James Crombie, curates ISPCA 2025 calendar

A calendar which was curated by multi award-winning local photographer, James Crombie, has been launched by the ISPCA to mark World Animal Week.

The heartwarming 2025 calendar shines a spotlight on the invaluable work carried out by ISPCA inspectors who are at the forefront of rescuing animals in need, and tells the stories of the journeys made by many of the rescued animals from neglect to care.

Some of the animals featured in the calendar are still in the care of the ISPCA, while others are in new and loving homes.

World Animal Week continues throughout this week, and photographer James Crombie, who is a native of Rahugh in Westmeath and resides in Offaly was responsible for curating the calendar for the ISPCA.

The award-winning local photographer was joined by Rosanna Davison and Pete Wedderburn for the launch the 2025 ISPCA Calendar, and to raise further awareness of World Animal Week.

A total number of 7,779 calls for help were made to the ISPCA’s National Animal Cruelty Helpline on 0818 515 515 so far this year. 2,086 investigations were carried our resulting in 830 animals being surrendered or seized by ISPCA Animal Welfare Inspectors.

During this period, the ISPCA was involved in 28 court cases, all of which were successfully resolved and resulted in 29 criminal convictions. The ISPCA encourages members of the public to continue to report any animal welfare concerns and together we can prevent cruelty to all animals.

The ISPCA 2025 calendar ss available now for pre-order with all proceeds supporting the ISPCA's ongoing efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need.

During World Animal Week, which includes World Animal Day on October 4, the ISPCA calls on the public to join in a collective effort to protect and care for our animal friends.
