Tullamore Harriers set to host biggest ever half marathon

Tullamore Harriers Athletic Club is preparing to stage the biggest ever Bord na Móna Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon tomorrow (Saturday), August 31.

With 1,400 athletes expected to cross the finish line, it's shaping up to be an exciting event and a significant day for Tullamore Harriers AC.

The event has quickly become one of Ireland's most prestigious half marathons, with this year's race selling out in record time.

It will also serve as the Offaly and Leinster half marathon race championships.

With the support of sponsors Bord na Móna, the organisers are looking forward to welcoming over 3,000 spectators and participants to Tullamore for what promises to be a great event.

The race, starting at 10am on the main Charleville Road, will feature a scenic route through Mucklagh, Killurin and Cloonagh. The roads will be closed for the event ensuring safety and comfort for everyone involved.

With up to 3,000 people expected, including supporters, media, and visitors, the town of Tullamore is sure to be vibrant and lively on race day.
