Up and coming country singer playing in Castletown Geoghegan Hall on Friday night
Country and western singer Alex Roe is playing in Castletown Geoghegan Hall next Friday night.
The upcoming gig by the Clara native is one of a series of social dances taking place in the hall over the coming months to raise funds to purchase Christmas lights for the village.
"We are looking to make our village sparkle this Christmas with the addition of some Christmas lights," a member of the fundraising committee said.
"To help us fund the lights we are holding social dances roughly every eight weeks in our local hall featuring some of Ireland's finest musical talents."
Alex Roe is a rising star in the Irish country and western music scene. Despite being in his twenties, Alex has already a number of hit singles and albums to his name and is one of the most popular performers on the circuit.
Doors open on Friday night at 9.30pm.
