Gráinne Walsh and Irish team return home after Olympic qualification success

Tullamore's Gráinne Walsh and her Irish boxing teammates returned home to Dublin Airport this morning after their hugely successful performance at the Olympic qualification tournament in Thailand.

Over recent days, Gráinne and four other Irish boxers booked their places at the Olympic Games in Paris, which will begin at the end of next month.

Their achievements mean Ireland will be sending a record-equalling team of ten boxers to the Games - including boxer in every one of the six Olympic weight categories for female boxers.

Offaly's Gráinne secured qualification at 66kg by winning four fights in Thailand, including the decisive bout against Armenia's Ani Hovsepyan on Sunday.
