Local breastfeeding group to host cinema screening and lunch

On June 18 at 11am, the Odeon Cinema Portlaoise will play host to Born at Home, a documentary film exploring homebirth in Queensland, Australia. The screening is being organised by Cuidiú Offaly breastfeeding support group.

Born at Home was created by Eleanor Currie and Amanda Banks, who were inspired to create a resource for families to help them understand that homebirth is an option and to make an informed decision about their model of care and care provider.

Attendees are invited to join the group for lunch afterwards to discuss the film and meet other parents, birth and breastfeeding supporters from across the Midlands.

Babies and children are welcome to attend the event, which will be 'baby friendly' with reduced sound levels and low lighting throughout the screening.

Tickets are available online from Demand Film until June 10.

Further information on the film and lunch is available from Cuidiú Offaly @cuidiuoffaly on Instagram and Facebook.
