McCormack pledges to work for "future prosperity" of town and county at election launch

Tullamore-based Fianna Fáil Cllr Tony McCormack told the official launch of his local election campaign last week that a vote for him is a vote “for the future prosperity of the town and county.”

Assuring voters of his “unwavering commitment, dedication, and reliability in representing their interests” at a packed launch in the Phoenix Bar, Tullamore on Friday night last, April 12, he pledged to address their concerns and work tirelessly on their behalf.

Cllr McCormack highlighted his extensive background in business, community, and politics, and highlighted his proven track record in helping to deliver key projects that have significantly contributed to the betterment of the community. Notable among these projects are the development of the Esker Arts Centre, Street Enhancement Programme, and infrastructure initiatives for the Grand Canal Greenway, all of which promise to enhance leisure, economic prosperity, and tourism opportunities for the region.

With over 30 years of experience in business, including running a successful printing company employing 16 people, Cllr McCormack acknowledged the challenges facing businesses,and highlighted his active involvement in Tullamore Chamber Strategic Group, Chairman of Offaly Innovation and Design Centre, his past presidency of Tullamore Chamber of Commerce and Midland Gateway Chamber.

Among his key priorities are housing, tackling anti-social behaviour, rural development, healthcare and mental health initiatives, community development, employment generation, and educational advancements. He also acknowledged the diverse communities in Tullamore and environs, pledging to continue to serve everyone.

While urging voters to cast their No.1 vote in his favour on June 7 next, Cllr McCormack thanked his supporters, colleagues, family and friends for their “steadfast support” and spoke of how he was honoured to serve the many local areas in the municipal district and county.
