TUS Scheme staff being hired for Killeigh Community Centre as it nears completion

The long-awaited opening of the new Killeigh Community Centre is drawing ever closer.

The new community hub is located on the site of the former Macra Hall, and was put in place with the help of major local planning and fundraising effort over the course of several years.

Local company Allen Kenny Construction Ltd was awarded the contract for the building of the facility and moved on site in November 2022.

One of the local committee members said the community centre was now "almost there" and a completion date for the construction phase is expected to be revealed soon.

As a result of its impending opening, two positions at the Community Centre will become available shortly through the TUS scheme.

The openings are for an Office Administrator and for a Cleaner/Caretaker.
