Cheltenham Preview Night a fantastic success

A great evening was had by all who attended the Cheltenham Preview Night organised by Edenderry Lions Club recently.

The club thanked everybody who supported the event on March 7 last in Larkin's Lounge, Edenderry.

Congrats were extended to raffle winners who won prizes like race day tickets to various race meetings and Boyle Sports free bets.

Prizes for an auction were kindly donated by John 'Shark' Hanlon, trainer of the great Hewick, Gavin Cromwell, trainer of Flooring Porter, the double Cheltenham Stayers Hurdle winner, and leading bookie Daragh Fitzpatrick, all of whom were part of a guest panel on the night.

A visit to Shark's yard went to Annie Moroney and friends, while a visit Gavin’s yard went to Patrick Larkin and friends.

Edenderry Lions Club had a special word of thanks to trainers John 'Shark' Hanlon and Gavin Cromwell for giving their time and support to organisers.

There was gratitude too for leading bookmaker Daragh Fitzpatrick, Patrick Larkin and staff for venue, food and service, Alan Usher for Boyle Sports sponsorship, sound by Ed Kenny and the many race courses who donated race day entrance tickets.

Edenderry Lions Club wished both trainers the best of luck in Cheltenham, particularly Shark and Hewick, in the Gold Cup.
