Birr man to join special performance of Handel's Messiah

John Molloy from Birr will join Tallaght Choral Society in a special performance of Handel's Messiah in April.

The society is blessed to have secured world-class Irish soloists Sharon Carty (Alto), Claudia Boyle (Soprano), Andrew Gavin (Tenor) and of course Offaly’s own John Molloy (Bass), from Birr, to perform in what will be a very special occasion as it mark s“Jubilee 2024 - 800 years of the Dominican Order in Ireland with what promises to be an unforgettable performance.

The event is marking 800 years of the Dominicans in Ireland.

Tallaght Choral Society’s performance of Messiah in The Helix on Sunday, April 14,will be conducted by the inspirational powerhouse of creative musical energy, Lynsey Callaghan, accompanied by the Irish Choral Sinfonia.
