50th Parkrun for Kevin in Mountlucas

On Saturday, February 10, Kevin Dempsey completed his 50th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun.

He was second to cross the finish line on the day and was followed by his brother Ciaran and his parents Ger and Noeleen as well as their family dog. It looks like Kevin is following in his father Ger's footsteps; Ger is a regular parkrunner and has completed 180 parkruns to date! There were almost 60 other runners and walkers on the day of Kevin's 50th parkrun. Congratulations to Kevin on this wonderful milestone.

Parkrun is a free weekly timed 5km event for runners and walkers that takes place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 Countries across the world.

Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Bord na Móna Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean. The organisers are suggesting that people make participating at Mountlucas Parkrun one of their weekly “must do’s”, so why not turn up at 9.30 am on any Saturday morning to see what it is all about.
