Three Offaly businesses to be exhibited at prominent trade show
Three Offaly businesses have been selected to showcase their products at Showcase – Ireland’s International Creative Expo in the RDS, Dublin which kicks off this Sunday.
Shannonbridge Pottery, Flying Fig Studio and Heart On My Sleeve Greetings will all be exhibitors at Showcase, one of Ireland's largest trade shows.
Flying Fig Studio in Birr design, illustrate and hand-make a range of gifts and homewares, many of which are inspired by Birr and Offaly.
Owner, Karla Finnegan said that she was “delighted” to be attending Showcase for the first time this year.
“It’s the best opportunity there is to get in front of both national and international buyers and stockists and I’m thrilled to be part of it. It’s going to be a whole new experience for me so I’m going with no expectations but am looking forward to seeing where it might take me. I’m so grateful to the Offaly Local Enterprise Office for selecting me and for all of the support they’ve given me and my small business,” stated Karla. Flying Fig Studio will be exhibiting in the LEO Enterprise Zone.
Karla added: “I’ve been working on my stand design for the last few weeks and I’m excited to see it all come together, and to meet fellow creatives and small business owners.”
Shannonbridge Pottery produces handcrafted pottery for both commercial and domestic use. The company collaborates with local and international artists to give their designs originality while making each collection unique and memorable. Heart On My Sleeve Greetings is based at The Enchanted Giftshop in Tullamore and it specialises in designing and creating beautiful personalised cards and gifts for customers all around Ireland.
A key draw, especially for international retailers is that at Showcase, the makers behind the products are usually those behind the stands, giving rise to stories and insights that translate so well into consumer marketing and selling.
Showcase 2024 will take place from Sunday, January 21 to Tuesday, January 23 in the RDS, Dublin. With a proven track record for almost five decades, this year is set to be bigger and better with almost 400 exhibitors and more than 4,000 visitors from Ireland and overseas expected to attend.
