Tullamore Lions Club Annual is the ideal Christmas gift

The 12th edition of the Tullamore Lions Club Annual is currently on sale, with Lions President, Anthony Kearns, describing it as "the ideal Christmas gift for loved one both at home and abroad."

The annual, which is priced at €15, is the major fundraising project for the local Lions Club with all proceeds from sales and advertising going directly towards providing financial assistance to the many worthy projects that the Lions Club is involved with.

Chief among the charity projects that the Tullamore Lions Club is synonymous with is the distribution of Christmas Food Hampers to a large number of needy families in the local community and the advertising and sales revenue from the sales of the Lions Club Annual goes directly towards funding this, and a number of other projects.

Editor of the 2024 edition of the Lions Club Annual, Dymphna Bracken, paid tribute to the many people who had agreed to be interviewed and who had supplied articles and photographs for the publication.

She said this year's annual highlights the work of a number of our voluntary organisations such as the the Credit Union, Tullamore Show and Civil Defence personnel who support numerous community events throughout the year.

Also included are articles on local people who share their experiences of travel to different parts of the world and others who have achieved above and beyond in their chosen fields, including medicine and the arts.

The publication of the Tullamore Annual is the culmination of many months of research and work by dedicated members of the Lions Club, all of whom are volunteers who pay an annual fee of €100 to cover the cost of administration in the club.

The 184 page Annual is now on sale in all usual outlets in Tullamore and surrounding areas at €15 and would make an ideal Christmas gift.
