New cold weather warning in place for Friday night

A new cold weather warning is in place for Friday night.

Met Éireann this morning issued a yellow weather warning for low temperature and ice.

The forecaster says the weather conditions on Friday night will be very cold with widespread frost and icy conditions. Fog and freezing fog too.

It said the weather could lead to hazardous conditions on roads and paths and cause travel disruptions.

The warning is for all 26 counties in the State and applies from Friday at 5pm to 12noon on Saturday.

Affected Regions: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow.

The latest warning comes on the back of a separate warning for tonight.
