Young Offaly woman bidding to become Ireland's 'Best Dressed Debutante'

A young Offaly woman is one of ten finalists in a national 'Best Dressed Debutante' competition which is entering its closing stages.

Tullamore's Sophie Buckley, representing the Sacred Heart Secondary School, progressed through earlier stages of the competition and is now in the final which is open to public voting until 12 noon on Tuesday next (November 28).

The 'Best Dressed Debutante' competition is run by Debs Ireland and the overall winner will be chosen through a combination of public vote (33%), Debs Ireland vote (33%), and Assets Model Agency's vote (33%).

The overall winner will win a holiday for two to New York City and a year signed to Assets Models Agency, while the winner of the public vote will receive €300.

The other nine finalists are representing schools in Dublin (2), Carlow (2), Tipperary, Roscommon, Meath, Sligo and Louth.
