Maths Eyes, Maths Bingo, the Maths Olympiad, Maggie Gough Competition and a Multiplication Bee were just some of the activities that Junior Cycle students in Tullamore College participated in as part of Maths Week 2023.

Meanwhile, Senior Cycle students had the opportunity to partake in Quizzes, Challenges, Maths Relays and the Maggie Gough Competition as all students in the school were encouraged to think mathematically. At lunch each day, students could compete in Dingbats and Guestimate, as well as other games.

Junior students practised their quick mental maths by playing Countdown as well as using their problem-solving skills in The Cube.

Maths week finished with a bang with the multiplication Bee final taking place on Friday last with 2nd Year student, Wyatt Winston, finishing in 1st place.

Transition Year students designed Maths Bingo for 1st year students, which took place in various classes throughout the week, while 3rd year students competed in the Maths Olympiad, and the school community took part in Drop Everything and Sudoku last class on Friday.
