Call to get involved in new Killeigh community centre at upcoming AGM

Members of the public are being invited to consider getting involved in the running of the new Killeigh community centre, which is expected to be completed early in the new year.

The Killeigh Community Centre Development Association - the voluntary group which has spearheaded the community centre project - is holding its annual general meeting (AGM) in Killeigh National School on Wednesday, October 11, at 8pm.

The group is inviting people to attend the meeting in order to receive a further update on the development at the site of the former Macra Hall.

"This is an opportune time to come along to get a further update on the build and to consider getting involved in the planning of the operation of the Community Centre when it opens its doors," said the association.

Local company Allen Kenny Construction Ltd was awarded the contract for the building of the community centre and moved on site last November. The provisional completion date for the building project is January 2024.
