Short film role for Edenderry youngster

Edenderry student Alex Carberry has been cast in a short film being made by an Offaly film production company

Alex, a Midland Drama School student, has been cast in the role of poor boy in the film, Wrecker, a Screen Ireland Focus short directed by Martina McGlynn and produced by Garrett Daly, both of Mixed Bag Media in Daingean.

Alex is also playing Aladdin in the Midland Drama School upcoming production of Aladdin in its Tullamore studio.

Alex and his twin sister Chloe have been part of the drama school for a number of years.

Aladdin is one of three musicals being performed from April 28 to May 1, including All for the Love of Shoes and Dancing Queen.

The shows include students ranging in age from 3 to 20, and from Offaly, Laois, Westmeath, Galway and Kildare, and are guaranteed to suit all the family.

Filled and packed with the best of talent, humour, comedy, modern music which will want to get you off your seats and dancing.
