Ballycumber GAA's indoor training area moving forward
Ballycumber GAA Club is currently recruiting a contractor to carry out work on an all-weather training area which it hopes to have in place by next summer.
Last January, Offaly County Council granted planning approval to the club for the construction of "a new single storey training shed with artificial grass area", and associated works.
Planning permission was also granted for the decommissioning of an existing septic tank and construction of a new effluent treatment system and percolation area.
The club has now advertised for tenders from contractors interested in carrying out the work on the indoor training facility, and the tender documents state that it's hoped work on site will begin in January and be completed by July of next year.
Indicative guidelines for the synthetic grass pitch stated that it would have dimensions of 48 x 18 metres, and a total pitch area of 864 metres squared.
Contractors have until noon on Friday, November 18, to submit their bids for the project.
