'Pop-up' Covid vaccine clinic to be held in Tullamore

The HSE has announced that a 'pop-up' Covid-19 vaccination clinic is to be held in Tullamore Primary Care Centre on Sunday week, September 11.

The clinic will administer vaccines from 1pm to 4pm, and appointments to receive a vaccine can be booked online here.

"The vaccination clinic will be for persons over the age of 12 years. Vaccinations will be provided to those requiring Dose 1, Dose 2, and, where eligible and meeting the criteria, those identified for Booster 1 and 2 vaccinations. The vaccine on offer will be Pfizer," a HSE spokesperson said.

The vaccine clinic will also operate from 11am to 12.30pm on September 11 on an appointment-only basis for children who are immunocompromised, aged 5 to 11 years.

Parents will be contacted with appointment times or they can call Laois Vaccination Centre on 057 8696879 for further information.

Healthcare workers can also attend the vaccination clinic for their second booster dose, where eligible. Appointments can be booked on the HSE website, and healthcare workers must attend with proof that they are healthcare workers.

“Our aim is to provide an accessible site for any persons 12 years and older who have not yet received a vaccination or booster or second vaccination to attend our pop-up clinic to avail of a vaccine," said Paula Phelan, Operations Manager of Laois Community Vaccination Centre, which is providing the clinic in Tullamore.

"We would also like to encourage parents of children diagnosed as having immunocompromised conditions to avail of the appointments offered to them on the day in Offaly."
