Ferbane’s Traditude Festival is back this summer!
There were scenes of unbridled emotion and great joy in Ferbane last weekend when it was confirmed that its music festival was back on track after a two-year hiatus!
Last held in 2019 B.C. (Before Covid) to huge acclaim and to capacity crowds the line-up for this year’s festival has been revealed.
There were gasps of amazement and jaw-dropping wonderment when the world-renowned Scottish trio ‘Talisk’ featuring the combined talents of Benedict Morris, Mohsen Amini and Graeme Armstrong were revealed as heading the bill on Sunday night. There was followed by further euphoria when Ireland’s greatest trad exponents Martin O’Connor, Cathal Hayden and Seamie O’Dowd were announced for the Saturday night extravaganza.
The hugely popular Splendid Isolation and the Briar Hotel Big Band also make a welcome return to Ferbane this year.
Ali Leveck, Cormac Crummy and Jack McRobbie, some of Scotland’s finest musicians, will also grace the Traditorium over the weekend.
Add in the homecoming of Danny Guinan & O’Dreams based in Holland and filling venues over Europe for the last number of years along with sets from the class act that is Niamh and Daithí, The Buckleys, Whitegrass and many more acts yet to be announced. The line-up is exceptional and Traditude promises to offer an extraordinary weekend of music and craic.
There will be two stages hosting the live music at the venue at Gleeson’s, Main Street, Ferbane. Traditude runs from 2 ‘til late on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July. Tickets are already being snapped up even as we speak and are available at Traditude.ie. Day tickets for Saturday and
Sunday are available at €35 or take in the entire weekend for €60.
Truly the Traditude Festival in Ferbane is the only place to be for the first weekend of July 2022.
Further details will be available as the Festival draws nearer so keep an eye on Traditude on Facebook and other social media over the next while for fresh updates. ‘Traditude’ beckons so don’t miss out!
