SPAR Barack Obama Plaza in Moneygall has won a major award for their Protein Section Display.

Ireland’s top retailers and brands gathered at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire to attend the prestigious ceremony, which is the only comprehensive and independently judged business accolades for the convenience store sector.

Originally due to be held in November 2021, the ceremony was postponed due to the increase of Covid-19 hospitalisations occurring at that time, and to ensure the safety of all involved. Proving the adage that good things come to those who wait, SPAR Barack Obama Plaza was presented with the accolade for the wins for Protein Section Display at the ceremony.

Congratulating them, Colin Donnelly, SPAR Sales Director said, “I want to congratulate Pat and Una McDonagh on this award, which is very well deserved. SPAR Barack Obama Plaza is a terrific ambassador for the SPAR brand, and I am delighted for them and their team.”

The ShelfLife C-Store Awards were set up to acknowledge stores and individuals that set the standards for the industry.
