FAI clarifies its rules for football in Offaly, Laois and Kildare
The FAI has confirmed that underage players resident in Kildare, Laois and Offaly are not permitted to travel to training or matches with clubs or programmes outside their home counties.
This includes the SSE Aitricity League underage national leagues.
In a statement today, the FAI said: “Only players and coaches with SSE Airtricity League and Women’s National League adult teams, and match officials from either of those adult leagues, are allowed travel outside their homes in Kildare, Offaly or Laois for training or matches.”
It said its suspension of activities in Kildare, Laois and Offaly includes all matches and all organised training in those counties until further notice.
The FAI has called off all INTERSPORT Elverys FAI Summer Soccer Schools in the affected counties for the next two weeks
In addition, the FAI again confirms that anyone arriving into Ireland from a country outside the government’s Green List must restrict their movements for 14 days before taking part in any football activities.
