Bridge House Hotel recommended for third year in Michelin guide
For the third consecutive year, Tullamore"s Bridge House Hotel and Restaurant has been awarded a recommendation by the prestigious Michelin guide. The hotel recently unveiled the first phase of its €5 million refurbishment - the Bridge House Bar, Grill & Restaurant - which has already become a hit with locals and has now been honoured with a recommendation from the world"s most important food and travel guide. Michelin has been in the business of evaluating and recommending restaurants and hotels for over a century, employing full-time professional inspectors who anonymously visit restaurants and hotels, and evaluating them on a range of criteria. The hotel"s director of operations Gavin O"Shea is very pleased with the recommendation; 'We are proud to be recommended for the third year running in the world"s most important food and travel guide. We are glad that following the Bridge House Bar, Restaurant and Grill"s major refurbishment customers and critics alike still remain loyal to the restaurant.' Head Chef, Patrick Kennedy was thrilled that his menu appealed to the inspectors. 'At the Bridge House Hotel I"ve tried to create a signature menu that will appeal to food lovers of all descriptions, I"m really glad that all our hard work has paid off and want to thank all the staff in the restaurant, some of whom have been working here for over 30 years, who have made this possible.'
