Local authorities no longer taking water queries from today
From today (Tuesday) domestic users can no longer look to local authorities with queries regarding water supply, water quality or wastewater, and will instead have to contact Irish Water's call centre.
Irish Water can be contacted by phone on 1890 278 278 or via www.water.ie.
Issues in relation to business account queries, surface water drainage and flood management will continue to be dealt with directly by Offaly County Council.
The installation of domestic meters is expected to commence in Offaly in the last week of June. Works will commence in Tullamore, and it's expected that all known connections will be metered within five months.
