The month of love at Birr Theatre
February is the month of love, and there's amour and much more happening at Birr Theatre, with something to keep all the family entertained: Exhibition - Common Ground The fifth annual Common Ground exhibition continues in February and is open from 1pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and during performances until the middle of the month. Artists on Architecture As part of Offaly County Council's Engage with Architecture programme this exhibition curated by Oonagh Young will run in both February and March. The exhibition will feature a selection of artists locally and nationally, and will highlight the interaction between art and architecture. The exhibition will officially open on February 20 and from then will be on show from 1pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and during performances. An Evening of Nostalgia with Johnny McEvoy Johnny McEvoy takes a look back over his many hit songs in an evening of nostalgia on February 9. Tickets are available for €25. Birr Film Club - The Hunter Birr Film Club present this 2011 Australian film on February 12 at 8pm. Tickets are available for €7, €5 and €3. Joyced! Written by Donal O'Kelly, this show performed by Katie O'Kelly and directed by Sorcha Fox is one of the big Irish success stories from Edinburgh 2012. Tickets for the must see performance on February 16 are available for €16 and €14. Birr Film Club - 5 Broken Cameras This award winning film will be presented by Birr Film Club on February 19 at 8pm. Tickets are available for €7, €5 and €3. Jerry Fish The popular and charismatic Jerry Fish visits Birr Theatre on February 23 at 8pm. Tickets €18 and €16. We Banjo 3 This award winning quartet from Galway combine Irish music with old time American and bluegrass influences. Tickets for the 8pm show on February 24 are available for €16 and €14. Birr Film Club - Shadow Dancer Tickets for this 2012 UK film, which will be screened on February 26, are available for €7, €5 and €3.
