Tullamore Chamber Awards boasts 2 new categories
The Tullamore Chamber of Commerce has announced details of this year’s Chamber Awards, which will be held in the Bridge House Hotel on Saturday, February 22.
In addition to the existing eight categories, two new awards - for best customer service and best website - have been added this year.
Nominations for the awards that are open to all will open tomorrow (Wednesday), with entry forms available for completion online at www.tullamorechamber.com.
Ten awards in total will complete this year’s Chamber Awards line-up: emerging new business, industry, best culture/tourism, green initiative, retail excellence, business initiative, business person of the year, community achievement, best customer service and best website.
“Tullamore is a progressive town,” chairman of the awards committee Dominic Doheny said this week. “There is a lot going on and a lot achieved with plenty of potential for business. It’s centrally localated and is at the hub of a national infrastructure.
“These awards recognise enterprise and innovation against the backdrop of tough economic conditions and we hope they will encourage and inspire companies to continue to invest and expand their activities in the region. These are prestigious awards and we wish all entrants the best of luck.”
“The awards aim to recognise and promote excellence and innovation in the local business community,” president of Tullamore Chamber Anne Starling added.
“An independent judging panel will adjudicate all entries and decide on the finalists and winners in each category.”
Nominations are open to both chamber members and non-members, and must be completed between January 15 and January 24 at www.tullamorechamber.com.
Tickets for the award night cost €50 and can be reserved by emailing info@tullamorechamber.com.
