New Offaly manager ratified by County Board
Leinster Colleges Final Edenderry GAA would like to wish St Mary"s Secondary School the very best of luck in the Leinster Colleges "A" Football Final against Good Counsel of Wexford. The game will be played in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow, tomorrow (Saturday), 28th February, at 3pm. Bew Offlay Manager Offaly County Board have ratified Tom Cribbin as their new senior football manager, and will take over with immediate effect. His selectors have yet to be announced, but in the meantime he will have the services of current interim management of Tom Coffey, Phil O"Reilly and Vinny Claffey. Edenderry GAA would like to wish Tom, who led Edenderry to senior championship glory in 2001, the very best in the coming year. It is likely that Tom will also have the services of fitness expert John Doran, who is also a former manager and trainer of the Edenderry senior footballers. Fixtures Div 2 FL: Edenderry v Ballyfore in Edenderry on Sunday, March 1, at 12noon. Division 2 Football League Edenderry 3-16 Clonbullogue 1-05 Last Saturday the Edenderry senior footballers easily defeated Clonbullogue at home in Division 2 Football League to give new manager Jack Sheedy the perfect start in competitive football. Edenderry had some good performances all over the field, but none were better than Cillian Farrell who finished with a tally of 1-7 from full forward. The Reds still have to welcome back some players to the panel, some from injury and some from their involvement with the St Mary"s school team. The Seniors next game in the league will be at home to our parish neighbours Ballyfore this Sunday 1st March at 12 noon. U12 & U14 Hurling Training U12 & U14 hurling training has been changed to this Friday at 5pm in the GAA field due to the Leinster Schools final on Saturday.
