Birr Theatre's May line-up

There’s no need to issue any entertainment mayday calls - Birr theatre has more than enough to satisfy going on this month.

Art Exhibtion
May’s art exhibition in Birr Theatre is provided by the students of St Brendan’s Community School. The exhibition will be open Monday to Friday from 1pm to 5.30pm and during performances until May 17.

Anam Beo
Taking over from the student art exhibition will be an exhibition from Anam Beo, the independent arts and health organisation that delivers the Offaly Arts-in-Health programme. The exhibition will feature works by participants at Birr Community Nursing Unit and will run in conjunction with Bealtaine Festival. The exhibition will be launched on May 22 and will run until June 28.

To Kill a Mocking Bird

This 1962 film is the offering of Birr Film Club on May 7 at 8pm. Tickets €7/€5/€3 and non-members welcome.

Liam Lawton
Liam Lawton comes to Birr Theatre on May 8 at 8pm as part of the Bealtaine Festival. Tickets €20/€18.

Silver Lining Playbook
This 2012 film will be screened at Birr Theatre by Birr Film Club at 8pm on May 14. Tickets €7/€5/€3.

A Musical Toast
Jonathan Carter, Sinead Conway and Edel Shannon bring this lively and varied programme that encompasses all manner of musical experience to Birr Theatre on May 18 at 8pm. Tickets €15.

Amour
This French language film is the Birr Film Club offering on May 21 at 8pm. Tickets €7/€5/€3.

Oliver Reed - Wild Thing
In this blistering solo show on May 25, join legendary hellraiser Oliver Reed (Rob Crouch) as he knocks back a few drinks and shares his incredible life story. Tickets €18/€16.

In-Step Stage School
The In-Step Stage School and the children of Birr present “Revolting Children” featuring Matilda, the Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland and more on May 26 at 7pm. Tickets €12 (adult) and €10 (child).

Life of Pi
Birr Film Club bring this 2012 film to Birr on May 28 at 8pm. Tickets €7/€5/€3.
