Fancy exhibiting at Aras an Chontae?
Offaly County Council is inviting applications from community groups, arts organisations, schools and artists who are interested in using its exhibition atrium between April and December this year.
Over the months from September to December last year the atrium exhibited several wonderful exhibitions, including “Creative Abilities” by participants of RehabCare Resource Centre, “Paris” by Slievebloom Photography Club and the community architecture project “Mapping Towns”.
Currently on show is “Engage with Colour” by Banagher Youthreach, and upcoming shows include exhibitions from professional artists within Offaly.
Full details and application forms are available at www.offaly.ie/arts. Applications must be submitted by 4pm on Friday, January 17 however. Queries are welcome to arts@offalycoco.ie or 057 9357400.
Those wishing to make an application need to be mindful of the scale and contemporary nature of the building and ensure that they have a high standard of presentation, appropriate to the designed space.
Offaly County Council will make available its exhibition facilities to all exhibitors for free for up to a month at a time, but the cost of exhibiting will be borne by the organising group or individual.
