Strictly fun dancing to raise funds for shinrone gaa and oncology unit
Training has begun in earnest for all the budding Fred Astaires and Ginger Rogers of Shinrone, to participate in a unique production of the smash hit TV show 'Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Strictly Fun Dancing event will take place in Shinrone Community Centre on Saturday, November 1, and is a fundraiser for Shinrone GAA, with a donation being made to the Oncology Unit, Tullamore
Months of rigorous training, planning and organising will culminate on the evening, with an entertaining group performance, followed by each couple performing a unique repertoire and a climatic finale performance by the entire group.
The 'throw in’ for this extravaganza will be the launch in two weeks time when the dancing partners will be announced. Such is the mix of personalities of the dancers the audience is in for a treat to see these volunteers strut their stuff on stage, as they may not have been picked for their dancing skills!
There are also limited opportunities left to sponsor the dancers for the event, so please contact the committee if you are interested in generating some inexpensive exposure for your business on the evening.
Strictly Come Dancing 'Shinrone style’ promises to be the biggest social event in the village this year and a night that will be talked about for years to come!
Tickets cost €20 and will be available from all the dancers, the committee and will be on sale in Shinrone Post Office and Centra, Shinrone.
