Cloghan native charms nation on Late Late
Offaly Youtube sensation Sean McLoughlin, aka Jacksepticeye, won himself thousands of new admirers after he comforted a young fan who became emotional after meeting him on last Friday night's Late Late Show.
Audience member Jane Anne O'Sullivan (14) was brought up to sit next to McLoughlin after she burst out crying when host Ryan Tubridy asked if she had a question for the Cloghan native.
Once positioned next to her idol, Jane Anne first asked if he'd hold her hand and then enquired if he had any advice on how to “stay positive” when she feels “overwhelmed”.
McLoughlin, who has 18m subscribers on YouTube, more than superstar singers Edel and Beyonce, said that the most important thing is “taking your time”.
"It's easy to think that everything's on top of you and the world's going to collapse on top of you if you don't figure out this thing right now that's happening.
"But I think whatever you enjoy... If you enjoy movies, animé, games, whatever you like - boyband[s], anything at all - to just listen to them, watch them, do whatever you like, and just take it one step at a time."
"A good piece of advice my sister gave me today was to "keep it in the day" - to not over-think things and to not get too far ahead of yourself," Jack concluded.
"Because it's very easy to think that things are not going to work out. So just hold on and take it step by step and you'll get through it."
Although he appeared on the RTE 2 Rich List programme and is reported to have made over €2m in earnings from his YouTube channel alone, McLoughlin was coy when asked by another young fan if he had earned his first million yet, saying that he won't be buy a Lamborghini or an island any time soon.
The year 2018 is shaping up to be a busy one for the now Brighton based internet personality. In addition to his Youtube day job, he is also touring in America and Europe.
