Netflix series is looking for thousands of extras
'Vikings: Valhala’ TV Series is looking to cast thousands of adults for their upcoming spin-off Netflix series.
Two open casting days have been announced – one in Dublin and one in Wicklow – for anyone to attend who wishes to apply. Film extras are needed for huge crowd and battle scenes, and extras will be paid. The show itself will be filmed in Dublin and Wicklow in the coming months, beginning in April.
Adults from all ethnic backgrounds and nationalities are wanted, as well as people of all heights, body types and hair styles – any length and colour, natural or dyed.
Anyone with military training or training in marching, sword/axe fighting or archery is encouraged to apply, as well as blacksmiths, farmers, bakers and fishmongers. No previous experience is needed to apply.
'Vikings: Valhalla’ is a spin-off Netflix series stemming from the hit TV show ‘Vikings’, recently filmed in Ireland. It begins in the year 1002 and follows the adventures and conflicts of Leif Eriksen, Freydis, Harald Hardrada and the Norman King, William the Conquerer.
Casting days are taking place in The Parkview Hotel, Main Street, Newtown Mount Kennedy, Co Wicklow, on Thursday, March 12, anytime between 10-6pm and in Dublin's Liberty Hall Theatre on Eden Quay, Dublin 1 on Monday, March 16, anytime between 10am-6pm.
There will be features and special extra roles which will be cast on the day.
Applicants should be full time Irish residents and have a work Visa/PPS number. Applicants should know their measurements such as height and chest/dress/shoe sizes. Photographs will be taken of each applicant. All jobs are casual and temporary.
