Tullamore Tidy Towns have been presented with €500 worth of compost from the ALDI Tullamore store.

Tullamore Tidy Towns has been selected by ALDI Tullamore to receive the ALDI Community Grant.

The presentation was made to Tullamore Tidy Towns today (Tuesday) by ALDI Tullamore Store Manager, Ollie Barnett.

In a clip shared by Tullamore Tidy Towns, a spokesperson said: "We'd like to thank them for their generous donation of €500 of compost for Tullamore Tidy Towns.

"When you see the flowers blooming this summer, you'll realise that the money for the compost came from ALDI, and it's community grant scheme."

The compost donated will be used in the many planters and beds throughout the town.
