Fundraising night at Offaly pub in memory of popular local barman and hospital porter

A benefit night fundraiser has been launched for the late Brian Connolly, a young Dad who passed away unexpectedly on February 17 last.

This fundraising event will take place on Friday, May 23, at Tom and Gerry’s Bar, Ballinagar, where Brian worked as a very popular barman.

Originally from Letterkenny in County Donegal, Brian moved to Offaly over 25 years ago. He lived with his family in Clara, and worked as a much loved porter in Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Brian has left behind a heartbroken family and a wide circle of family friends and beloved colleagues.

The Clara, Tullamore and Ballinagar communities have now rallied together in the aftermath of his passing to raise funds for Brian's nearest and dearest.

The funds raised at this event will be used to support his family during this challenging time in their lives.

The benefit night, called What About ya, Hi, will feature live music from Hammer & Tongs, Best Foot Forward & The Auld Brigade, as well as a massive auction and monster BBQ.
