Volunteers urged to get involved in Tullamore Spring Clean Day
Tullamore Tidy Towns will host a Spring Clean Day on Saturday, April 12 next, and are calling on community groups, businesses, residents associations and individuals to participate in the day, which is solely focused on "sprucing up Tullamore."
The Tidy Town team will assemble in O'Connor Square at 10am on Saturday morning, April 12 next, with bags, disposable gloves, a limited supply of litter pickers and hi-vis jackets, and they are hoping for a good turnout of volunteers to assist them on the day.
Filled bags can be returned to the collection point in O'Connor Square, or collection can be arranged.
Anyone wishing to take part in the Spring Clean Day is asked to please email info@tullamoretidytowns.ie to be added to the list of volunteers and to receive tidy town notifications.
The team would also like to be informed about the activities, projects and sustainable initiatives of other local groups. Photos and videos can be shared on social media with the hashtag #cleantullamore.
They have also asked for groups to email details of their little picks and sustainable initiatives for inclusion in their Tidy Towns submission for 2025.
Tullamore Tidy Towns would like to thank Offaly County Council, Tullamore & District Chamber, Waterways Ireland, and various community groups, businesses and individuals for their continued support.
