American actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell has said that she is “thrilled and honoured” to have been asked to appear on the Late Late Show with Patrick Kielty on Friday night.

Ms O’Donnell moved to Ireland with her child Clay in mid January. In a Tik Tok video earlier this month the 62 year old revealed that she is in the process of getting Irish citizenship as she has Irish grandparents.

She spoke of her intention to reside outside of the US until “it is safe, you know, for all citizens to have equal rights there, that’s when we will consider coming back.”

On Wednesday in a post on her Substack account, Ms O’Donnell indicated that had just finished her pre interview for the Late Late Late Show on Friday.

Ms O’Donnell said that cruelty is a “centrepiece” in his (Trump’s) “criminally incompetent administration.”

The New York-born commentator said that she is looking forward to going on a live show, as having “no safety net brings out the best in everyone.”

Ms O’Donnell hosted a successful talk show in the States for six years, which she added was “exhilarating and exhausting all at once.”

Trump has long had a feeling of animosity towards O’Donnell, whom he has called a “slob” and a “degenerate.”

CNN has previously dated the feud between the pair back to 2006 when O’Donnell called Trump a “snake oil salesman” and he described her as a “real loser.”

She will also be speaking about why she wants people to join her next month in the Same Chance Walk for Autism with AsIAm.

Country superstar Daniel O'Donnell is back on tour in Ireland this year. He joins Patrick to talk about trips with family, touring and the lengths he has gone to for his fans in a chart-topping career that has spanned four decades.

Comedian and actress Roisin Conaty known for Game Face and After Life will be in studio tomorrow night. With a name like Roisin, she will speak of growing up in London with Irish parents and spending summers in Kerry.

Roisin will also be chatting about the new series LOL: Last One Laughing UK with Jimmy Carr and why she was so glad that she didn't have to even try keep a straight face amongst some of the funniest people in comedy.

Off the back of another great year for the Irish at Cheltenham, two legends of the sport will join Patrick on Friday night.

Four-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and leading jockey at this year’s festival with four winners, jockey Paul Townend and Cheltenham 2025 double winner and the only female jockey ever to win a Grand National, Rachael Blackmore, will review the highs and lows of the week that was
