Offaly GAA club secures planning approval for extension works

There was good news for Ballyfore GAA Club this week, as it secured planning approval for an extension to its existing premises in order to create a new meeting room, storage space, and toilet facilities.

The club, based at Rathlumber, Edenderry, had submitted a planning application to Offaly County Council for the project in late January.

The application also sought approval for the installation of a new wastewater treatment system, as well as a new vehicular entrance and all associated site development works.

During the planning process, local Fianna Fáil councillor Claire Murray-Smale made a representation in support of the club's application.

In a decision which was signed off on Tuesday, March 18, Offaly County Council granted approval for the works, subject to five conditions.
